The Bucktown Housing Court, 2014
For my third year building project I designed a Housing Court which would serve the district of Bucktown, Chicago and draw from the diverse architectural context of the area. My chosen site was slotted within the multifaceted layers of clabber-board houses, imposing masonry tower blocks and the raised tracks and relentless rumble of the "L" train. The courthouse suggests a new architecture for Chicago, where memory, symbol and technology are used to compose new building typologies.
